The reader of the Christmas story is selected by Greg Mathis each year, and he keeps it a tightly-held secret. The first reader in 2009 was Jim Hall, whose family home once stood on the property where the Christmas Reading is held. Since that first year, readers have spanned all ages, stages, and walks of life.
